Hello!  Writing to you from the Intercontinental Hotel on Saint Charles in New Orleans
http://www.icneworleans.com/  where we are relaxing, showering, and napping until we head to the SuperDome in a couple of hours.  Our travels have been wonderful.  Our bus driver Gil is amazing and has actually worked as hard, and even harder, than most of us!  Our mission work in Covington was outstanding.We were divided into some smaller groups and work on staining, painting, scraping paint on homes.  We met some seriously wonderful people in the city while working.  I can tell you that yesterday was HOT.  The good news is we had a little breeze and so when that hit our sweat it felt cool.  ; )

Last night our good friend Michele Nunez was our guest speaker at Trinity Church.  She shared her story of surviving Hurricane Katrina and we were mesmerized.  Her story is one of restoration, healing, faith and hope.
